Ange NZIHOU, laureate of the Académie des Sciences Awards
The next november 22nd will take place the 2nd edition of the Academie des Sciences Awards, delivered in collaboration with IMT. This prize rewards remarkable scientific contributions at a european level in three main fields:
- energy transformation sciences and technologies for industries;
- energy transition sciences and technologies;
- environment engineering.
Two distinguished scientists – Two awards
A Big Award assigned to a scientist who has contributed in an exceptional way in the fields mentionned above; attribué à un/e scientifique ayant contribué de manière exceptionnelle aux domaines mentionnés ci-dessus par un ensemble de travaux particulièrement remarquables ;
A Promising Award assigned to a scientist, less than 40 years old on january 1st of the year of the Award assignement, who has contributed by an major innovtaion to these same fields.
These awards will be jointly delivered by IMT with the support of the Fondation Mines-Télécom and the Académie des sciences on november 22nd at the Institut de France.

Ange NZIHOU, 52 years old, director of our research center RAPSODEE UMR CNRS 5302, is one of the pionners of waste valorization. His researchs led to new energy production mecanisms from industrial, city or biomass waste. Ange Nzihou contributed to structuring an international scientific community. est un des pionniers de la valorisation des résidus. Ses recherches ont abouti sur de nouveaux mécanismes de production d’énergie à partir de déchets industriels, citadins, ou de la biomasse.
