Organization

In accordance with the strategic plan of IMT Mines Albi, the RAPSODEE centre has been structured in two groups conducting research in the following areas:

  • The production of energy carriers and property-controlled materials, by developing processes that are highly energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, either from purpose-grown biomass or from residual biomass that is - to a greater or lesser extent - contaminated by metal-based or/and organic pollutants (Energy and Environment Group).

  • The design and development of new sustainable processes (more intense, more economical in energy use, more respectful of the environment, and safer) using particulate solids and employing innovative methods of characterization, generation, transport, formulation, mixing and shaping of particles. The industrial pharmacy and food processing sectors are the primary beneficiaries of this research (Powder and Processes Group).
