MIMAUSA Platform
MIMAUSA is a IMT Mines Albi and the Institut Clement Ader platform, dedicated to research and project development in the following fields:
- Metallic, ceramic, composite and polymer materials
- Shaping (injection, deformation, additive manufacturing)
- Development of optical metrology devices for deformation and temperature monitoring
- Analysis of mechanical, optical and thermal behaviour
- Modelling, instrumentation, prototyping, scale-up.
MIMAUSA distinguished itself in 2018 by proposing a dynamic platform model that has become a true example. It has been supported by the IMT with accreditation and funding under the "IMT 2022 Platform Plan", one of the 10 strategic projects of the IMT.
A wide range of offers suited to the needs of companies
The platform supports companies of all sizes through the following actions:
- Support from short studies to multi-year research projects.
- Provision of equipment
- Non-certifying continued training in additive manufacturing
- Moderating of thematic networks
High-end equipment
MIMAUSA has a fleet of dedicated equipment to explore, innovate and develop industrial projects: from shaping to material characterization.
- Equipment dedicated to true temperature measurement
- Equipment dedicated to the measurement of optical properties
- Means of identification for mechanical behaviour
- Analysis tools for microstructure analysis
- Semi-industrial pilots for the implementation of composites, polymers and metals (optimization of shaping cycles)
- Equipment dedicated to the preparation and shaping of composite and polymer materials
- Identification tools for tribological behaviours
