IMT Mines Albi confirms its commitment to a sustainable future

THE Impact ranking measures institutions' direct contribution to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including the impact of research, teaching, campus management and territorial action. With a score of 76.1/100 and an increase of 17 points compared to 2024, IMT Mines Albi ranks 401-600 out of 2318 institutions analyzed in 2025. This year, 2526 institutions were analyzed and ranked, 274 more than in 2024!

• SDG 4 - Quality education

IMT Mines Albi contributes to ensuring equal access to quality education for all, and to promoting lifelong learning opportunities through an inclusive pedagogical approach, encouraging diversity and offering access to some of its educational resources to all. Our school is ranked 81st out of more than 2,300 institutions in terms of SDG 4 “Quality Education”. IMT Mines Albi also encourages research and innovation in education, exploring new methods of learning and teaching. IMT Mines Albi also supports educational outreach initiatives, working with schools, associations and local authorities to promote science education for younger generations. IMT Mines Albi is committed to the feminization of the engineering profession, and has one of the highest rates of feminization in its training courses, with 35% women.

• SDG 8 - Decent work and economic growth

SDG 8 aims to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth and decent work for all. With this in mind, IMT Mines Albi integrates internships and research projects into its training program, offering students practical experience and transferable skills in line with market needs. Students are encouraged to adopt a responsible and ethical approach, taking into account the social and environmental impact of their actions, and to prepare for “sustainable” professions.

IMT Mines Albi works closely with local companies and stakeholders to foster innovation and regional economic development. The school contributes to an ecosystem conducive to employment and growth. IMT Mines Albi is also committed to promoting dignified working conditions for all and to strengthening training and employment opportunities for new generations, equipping them with the skills essential for sustainable employment. These actions enable IMT Mines Albi to rank 101-200 for this SDG 8 in THE Impact 2025 ranking.

• SDG 10 - Reduce inequalities

IMT Mines Albi contributes to reducing inequalities by training a new generation of engineers who are aware of social issues and capable of proposing inclusive solutions. The school ranks 101-200 for SDG 10. IMT Mines Albi promotes diversity, equal opportunity and inclusion in its student community, providing an inclusive environment where everyone can flourish regardless of social origin, gender or economic status. IMT Mines Albi also promotes international cooperation and knowledge exchange with partners around the world. These collaborations foster mutual understanding, solidarity and the exchange of expertise, helping to reduce inequalities between countries.

In 2023, 162 international students from developing countries, i.e. 16% of the total student body. In 2023, 100% of students will receive financial assistance for accommodation and food on our campus.

SDG 17 emphasizes the importance of cooperation and strategic alliances as essential levers for achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda. IMT Mines Albi is committed to structuring and strengthening its actions in favor of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility, ensuring continuous improvement of its practices across all its processes and in collaboration with its local, regional, national and international partners.

To this end, IMT Mines Albi mobilizes and shares scientific knowledge, specialized expertise and technologies through research projects, as well as training, awareness and prevention initiatives. This commitment has enabled the company to position itself 201-300 for SDG 17.
