IMT Mines Albi: a strong commitment to sustainable mobility
Promoting cycling among employees, students, visitors, and partners has always been a priority for IMT Mines Albi. Thanks to a proactive policy that was already in place well before the application for the label — installation of secure bicycle parking facilities, provision of lockers, rollout of the Sustainable Mobility Package, etc. — numerous actions have been taken to encourage sustainable mobility and reduce the campus's environmental impact.
IMT Mines Albi has officially been awarded the BRONZE level Pro-Bike Employer label. This label applies to the Jarlard campus site, both as an employer and a site open to the public.
A Bronze label recognizing IMT Mines Albi's long-term commitment
In 2022, IMT Mines Albi embarked on the Objectif Employeur Pro-Vélo (OEPV) adventure, an EWC program designed to support private, public, and non-profit employers in developing a genuine cycling culture.
At the end of this process and following a rigorous audit based on five themes (management and strategy, communication and mobilization, services, safety, and equipment), IMT Mines Albi officially obtained the BRONZE level of the Pro-Cycling Employer label.
This distinction recognizes the work carried out by the school's teams to positively impact quality of life at work, employee health, and ecological transition.
In addition to reducing CO₂ emissions, cycling offers many benefits:
- improved well-being,
- increased productivity (+6 to +9%),
- reduced absenteeism (-15%).
This label recognizes a commitment to cycling mobility. It is not an end in itself. It is a milestone in an ongoing process, a boost for future actions, and recognition for all cycling enthusiasts.
IMT Mines Albi is continuing its drive towards an even more sustainable, attractive, and committed campus. This BRONZE label is a first step.
