An international partnership to promote academic cooperation
IMT Mines Albi is continuing to expand its network of international partners thanks to funding received from the French National Erasmus+ Agency, as part of the International Credit Mobility (MIC) call for proposals. This program supports exchanges between European higher education institutions and their partners outside the European Union, with the aim of promoting the mobility of students, faculty, and staff.
This funding will help establish a partnership with Dnipro University of Technology in Ukraine. The first exchanges between the two institutions began as early as 2021. Today, this partnership is taking on a new dimension thanks to the Erasmus+ program, driven by a shared commitment to strengthening academic and scientific ties between the two institutions.
The BRIC project: strengthening trade despite the geopolitical context
Named BRIC (Building Resilience through International Collaboration), this project demonstrates the two institutions’ commitment to using international cooperation as a driver of resilience and development. Despite a complex geopolitical context, IMT Mines Albi and Dnipro University of Technology intend to continue their collaboration in the areas of education, research, and innovation.
The project aims to foster scientific collaboration among faculty members, strengthen the internationalization of the academic programs offered by both institutions, and promote intercultural exchanges between the academic communities. Beyond student exchanges, BRIC reflects the belief that academic partnerships are a sustainable way to maintain dialogue, share knowledge, and prepare tomorrow’s engineers to thrive in an international environment.
Mobility programs in support of international cooperation
Thanks to Erasmus+ funding, IMT Mines Albi will host students, faculty, and administrative staff from Dnipro University of Technology. Mobility exchanges will take place exclusively from Ukraine to France. Students will enroll in the English Tracks, while faculty members will teach in these tracks or as part of the FrancoGénies program, thereby fostering the exchange of expertise and best practices between the two institutions.
- An increasingly international campus
Beyond student exchange programs, this partnership enriches the experience of IMT Mines Albi students. Hosting international students and faculty strengthens the campus’s intercultural openness, fosters cross-cultural exchange, and offers engineering students the opportunity to develop in an international environment that closely mirrors the realities of the professional world.
- A strong international strategy
Through the BRIC project, IMT Mines Albi continues to expand its international partnerships and reaffirms its commitment to an education that is open to the world. This collaboration helps enhance the school’s appeal, the quality of its programs, and its international reputation.
