An Inclusion Policy Promoting Equal Opportunity

For many years, IMT Mines Albi has made inclusion and equal opportunity cornerstones of its institutional mission. With the adoption of its new inclusion plan, IMT Mines Albi is strengthening and formalizing this approach to ensure that everyone has the same opportunities for success, both in France and internationally.

This commitment is reflected in numerous initiatives carried out throughout the region. From a very young age, IMT Mines Albi helps spark an interest in science through initiatives such as La Main à la Pâte, the Fête de la Science, and the Ambassadrices program. The school also supports students throughout their academic journey through the AFEV mentoring program and the Sam'Buddy tutoring program, demonstrating its commitment to social inclusion and diversity.

Concrete actions to support every student and every staff member

This policy is carried out at IMT Mines Albi through personalized support for students and staff. Tailored teaching methods, accommodations for coursework and exams, social and financial aid, an accessible campus, adapted housing, and dedicated advisors: these are all measures designed to meet everyone’s needs and promote success for all.

In addition to these measures, IMT Mines Albi raises awareness among future engineers about diversity issues through a dedicated program leading to a Certificate in Diversity Management, while training and awareness-raising initiatives are regularly offered to staff.

International mobility that is increasingly inclusive

As part of this initiative, IMT Mines Albi is strengthening its support for international mobility under the Erasmus+ program. The school is implementing specific measures to identify the needs of students and staff, facilitate access to financial aid, offer tailored accommodations, and provide personalized support before, during, and after each mobility experience.

As a recipient of the “Bienvenue en France” certification, IMT Mines Albi reaffirms its commitment to creating an increasingly inclusive learning and working environment, where diversity is a source of strength and where everyone can fully realize their potential.
