Erasmus+: IMT Mines Albi obtains two strategic grants for the period 2025–2028

IMT Mines Albi continues its international momentum by winning two Erasmus grants for the period 2025–2028. These projects will support student and staff mobility with the University of Montenegro and a consortium of institutions in Colombia. This strategic recognition reinforces the school's position in global academic cooperation networks.

Two Erasmus+ projects won by IMT Mines Albi to strengthen international mobility

IMT Mines Albi has just received some excellent news: two of its Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (KA171) projects have been selected for funding for the period 2025 to 2028.

These projects are part of the school's international development strategy, with the aim of strengthening student and staff mobility, supporting English-language programs (English Tracks), dual degrees, and collaborative research projects.

Enhanced cooperation with the University of Montenegro

Initial funding has been granted bilaterally for the Western Balkans region with the University of Montenegro, amounting to €40,070.

This partnership will enable:
•    support for the development of the English Track program;
•    support research projects at the Institut Clément Ader UMR CNRS 5312 in Albi ;
•    and finance mobility missions for academic and administrative staff.

This initiative consolidates the growing cooperation between IMT Mines Albi and institutions in the Balkan region.

A major success for the Colombia consortium project led by IMT Mines Albi

The second funding, which is particularly strategic, concerns a multi-school consortium led by IMT Mines Albi for the Latin American region.

This project brings together the Technological University of Pereira (UTP), the University of the Andes (UNIANDES) and the National University of Colombia (UNAL) with IMT's partner schools: IMT Mines Alès, IMT Atlantique, IMT Nord Europe and the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne.

With a total amount of €119,700, this funding will aim to:
•    develop incoming double degrees,
•    strengthen English-language courses (English Tracks),
•    and promote outgoing staff mobility.

Despite a historically low success rate (around 6%) for this region, IMT Mines Albi has established itself as a pilot school for Colombia, confirming its strategic positioning in this highly competitive area.

This new success follows last year's award of a first bilateral program with the Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia (EIA – Medellín). This is therefore the second consecutive Erasmus+ project won by IMT Mines Albi for this region, which is recognized for the academic quality of its students. IMT Mines Albi is thus continuing its strategy of international academic cooperation, while promoting its presence in key areas with strong scientific and human potential.
