2nd RenewGas Summer School organized by RAPSODEE UMR CNRS 5302 on the theme of renewable gas production

The second edition of the RenewGas Summer School was organized by IMT Mines Albi's RAPSODEE UMR CNRS 5302 center as part of the EUR BioEco, from June 11 to 17, 2025. It brought together doctoral students from a wide range of backgrounds and research fields to focus on the production of renewable gases from biomass and waste.

An immersive week at IMT Mines Albi on the theme of renewable gas production

The second edition of the RenewGas Summer School was organized by IMT Mines Albi's RAPSODEE UMR CNRS 5302 center as part of the EUR BioEco, from June 11 to 17, 2025. It brought together doctoral students from a wide range of backgrounds and research fields, focusing on the production of renewable gases from biomass and waste. The Summer School offers 30 hours of lectures based on four pillars:

- the correspondence between the availability of different forms of biomass resources and prospective energy scenarios ;
- biochemical and thermochemical processes for producing biomethane and biohydrogen;
- purification processes;
- specific gas separation technologies, ending with hydrogen storage methods.

In addition to the training hours, the Summer School also enabled the group of doctoral students to visit the RAPSODEE UMR CNRS 5302 center and the VALTHERA technology platform. Participants also had the opportunity to visit the city of Albi and its bishop's palace.
