🏆 Double win for Paul Menestreau, an IMT Mines Albi graduate, at the 2026 Mines-Télécom Foundation Awards

Paul Menestreau, a graduate of IMT Mines Albi, won first prize as well as the People’s Choice Award at the 2026 Mines-Télécom Foundation Awards ceremony in the “Best Graduation Internship” category. This double honor recognizes the high-quality work he carried out at Energy Observer on the challenges of energy transition and maritime decarbonization.

An innovative project focused on decarbonizing the maritime sector

During his final-year internship at Energy Observer, Paul Menestreau worked on the following topic:

Technical and Economic Comparison of Energy Pathways for Decarbonizing the Maritime Sector 

This project is fully aligned with today’s major industrial and environmental challenges, exploring innovative solutions to support the maritime sector’s energy transition. Thanks to its scientific, technical, and economic approach, this work won over both the jury and the public at the Fondation Mines-Télécom Awards.

 

Recognition for the general engineering degree from IMT Mines Albi

This award demonstrates the ability of engineering students at IMT Mines Albi to address real-world challenges with significant societal, industrial, and environmental implications.
