The partnerships developed with the University of Lomé (Togo) and the International Civil Aviation Academy (Morocco) illustrate the school's commitment to international openness and academic mobility.

Erasmus+: a lever for the international mobility of students and staff

Long associated with university exchanges in Europe, the Erasmus program is now much broader in scope. Since the creation of Erasmus+ in 2014, it has opened up to mobility outside the European continent, offering new opportunities for international academic cooperation.

 

IMT Mines Albi at the heart of an Erasmus+ project with Togo and Morocco

In this context, IMT Mines Albi has been running an Erasmus+ project since 2023 in partnership with the University of Lomé (Togo) and the International Civil Aviation Academy (Morocco). This project, which will continue until July 2026, is part of the school's international outreach strategy.

The program has facilitated the international mobility of students, teachers, and administrative staff at IMT Mines Albi. It has also promoted the organization of joint events, such as conferences, strengthening academic and institutional exchanges between partner institutions.

Among the students participating in the exchange program, everyone agrees that this opportunity is a tremendous academic springboard. 90% percent of students believe they have acquired new skills through their academic exchange, while 60% believe that this exchange will improve their employability.

The program also confirms the quality of the welcome offered by IMT Mines Albi. 90% of exchange students say they are satisfied with their Erasmus stay, highlighting the welcome, support, and integration they received at the school. In total, IMT Mines Albi welcomed 23 students from the University of Lomé (Togo) and the International Civil Aviation Academy (Morocco).

Beyond the numbers, this Erasmus+ project is part of a broader international development initiative at IMT Mines Albi. It demonstrates the school's ability to build strong academic partnerships, encourage cultural openness, and prepare tomorrow's engineers to thrive in a globalized world.
