Starting the 2026 school year at a general engineering school
First steps on campus, getting to know the school, meeting the faculty and other students… The start of the school year marks the beginning of a new adventure for the engineering students at IMT Mines Albi. Throughout their program, they will gradually shape their career plans and develop into well-rounded engineers, combining scientific and technical skills, business experience, an international outlook, and interpersonal skills.
This multidisciplinary approach enables them to prepare for careers in a wide range of sectors and to address the challenges facing businesses and society today.
Become a general engineer by charting your own path
Choosing a general engineering school also allows you to take the time to explore different fields before gradually narrowing down your career path.
At IMT Mines Albi, the curriculum is built on a scientific and technical foundation, supplemented by projects, internships, an international focus, and courses dedicated to the humanities and societal transitions. Students can then specialize in fields at the heart of industrial and technological challenges: renewable energy, materials and transportation, industrial engineering, pharmaceutical, agri-food, and cosmetics processes, data engineering, and artificial intelligence.
This diversity allows each student to tailor their academic path to align with their interests and career goals.
An engineering school focused on transitions and the professional world
Training generalist engineers also means preparing them to understand complex issues and to draw on a variety of skills to address them. The ecological and digital transitions, industrial transformation, energy, artificial intelligence, new materials, organizational performance… students at IMT Mines Albi are encouraged to work on issues directly linked to changes in society and business.
Internships, work-study programs, projects, meetings with professionals, and collaborations with companies gradually bring what students learn in the classroom into alignment with real-world realities.
Welcome to the new engineering students at IMT Mines Albi!
This first week gave new students a chance to settle in: an orientation lecture, meetings with faculty and classmates, awareness sessions on gender-based and sexual violence, a serious game at the library, and social gatherings marked their first few days on campus.
A week to explore their new environment, build their first connections, and begin shaping the next three years of their engineering journey.
Welcome to everyone at IMT Mines Albi, and here’s to a great 2026–2027 academic year!
