Can students at IMT Mines Albi study abroad through Erasmus+?
Yes. IMT Mines Albi participates in several Erasmus+ programs that promote international mobility for students and staff. These programs are based on bilateral agreements with partner universities or on consortia involving multiple institutions.
How can you study abroad while pursuing an engineering degree at IMT Mines Albi?
Studying abroad, hosting international students, fostering exchanges among faculty and staff, and developing new academic and scientific collaborations: the Erasmus+ programs play a key role in IMT Mines Albi’s international outreach.
As part of its international development strategy for its research, economic development, and training activities, IMT Mines Albi participates in these programs in various ways. It collaborates directly with a partner university when the areas of collaboration are specific to the school, or as part of consortia involving several schools within the Institut Mines-Télécom and international institutions when the scope of the initiative is broader.
These partnerships help foster incoming and outgoing mobility for students and staff. Over the past two years, they have notably contributed to welcoming international students to the English Tracks at IMT Mines Albi and supported student mobility.
Erasmus+: New Mobility Opportunities with Montenegro and Colombia
Two new programs are further strengthening this international momentum:
In partnership with the University of Montenegro 🇲🇪
IMT Mines Albi is developing a bilateral partnership that will support student mobility, English-track programs, faculty exchanges, and research collaborations, particularly with the Clément Ader Institute (UMR CNRS 5312), Albi campus (ICA-A).
With Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, Universidad de los Andes and Universidad Nacional de Colombia 🇨🇴
A partnership is being developed as part of a consortium bringing together several schools within the Institut Mines-Télécom: IMT Mines Alès, IMT Atlantique, IMT Nord Europe, Mines Saint-Étienne, and IMT Mines Albi. This project is intended, in particular, to facilitate the admission of Colombian students, staff exchanges, and participation in English-language courses offered by the schools.

IMT Mines Albi is expanding its academic partnerships in Colombia
For this program, IMT Mines Albi served as the Institut Mines-Télécom’s pilot school for Colombia.
This selection marks a new milestone in the development of IMT Mines Albi’s relationships with Colombian institutions. It follows the launch, the previous year, of an initial bilateral program with EIA – Escuela de IngenierĂa de Antioquia in MedellĂn.
These two consecutive projects help strengthen academic ties with Colombia and open up new opportunities for student exchange and cooperation with partner institutions.
Erasmus+ Supporting Education, Research, and Staff Exchanges
Beyond student exchanges, the Erasmus+ programs serve as a tool for fostering long-term international partnerships.
Student and staff mobility, hosting international students, courses taught in English, exchanges of expertise, and scientific collaborations: these projects foster dialogue among IMT Mines Albi’s various missions and strengthen ties with its international partners.
As part of Erasmus Days, this initiative demonstrates IMT Mines Albi’s commitment to developing an educational and research experience that is increasingly open to the international community.
