IMT Mines Albi, major actor of the French Indonesian Consortium on Engineering & Management on the theme of sustainable industry

IMT Mines Albi was in Yogjakarta in Indonesia to participate in the "Joint Working Group" on the theme "Sustainable Industry of the future".

Sustainable industry at the heart of the French Indonesian Consortium on Engineering & Management

At the end of November, IMT Mines Albi participated in the "Joint Working Group" on the theme "Sustainable Industry of the future" organized within the framework of the FICEM consortium (French Indonesian Consortium on Engineering & Management) in Yogyakarta. This consortium includes researchers from IMT Mines Albi, IMT Atlantique and 10 Indonesian partner universities and is funded by Erasmus.

The objective of the workshop is to define research axes on the theme of the sustainable industry of the future to build a consortium of teacher-researchers. In the short term, the goal is to submit a project with the objective of :

  • train doctoral students
  • strengthen research collaborations within the FICEM
  • to promote the emergence of co-supervision of theses according to the French co-financing schemes.

In their respective fields, Vincent Oriez, Associate Professor at IMT Mines Albi and Philippe Lours, Professor at IMT Mines Albi and Director of International Affairs contribute to the work of the Workshop, which is structured around three pillars: sustainable environment, industry of the future and green energy & nuclear energy. As part of this mission, the two professors were also able to give a course to students of Universitas Indonesia in chemical and materials engineering.
