The Science Festival is a major event on the national scale. It will take place from september 28th to october 31st in the Tarn region.

• On one hand, this event allows to scientifsts to present their works to people.
• On the other hand, it offers to citizens to discover science and the scientific jobs.

The Science Festival is managed by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and organized by different organizations such as Science Animation for the french region Occitanie. The groupe is made up of regional organizations that carry actions on the territory. In the Tarn, this event is supported by local authorities, many nonprofit organisations and companies. Science en Tarn is the organization that units all these players and coordinates the actions.

IMT Mines Albi, major player for training,research and innovation, is involved for many years for spreading scientific and technical culture. It organizes public open house, scientific exhibitions, and lectures.  We participate to the Science Festival by opening our research centers on october 8,9 and 10 to schools to let them discover science jobs and scientific researchs by our researchers, laboratory workers, and PhD students of IMT Mines Albi in our major scientific expertise fields.

In partnership with Main à la Pâte and the working group "Canopé du Tarn", we welcome pupils on october 9 and 10 for workshops (movies, interactive workshops, visits of the research centers...).
