On Thursday, June 22, 2023, IMT Mines Albi and the Autonomous University of Chihuahua officially renewed their dual-degree agreement. The Autonomous University of Chihuahua represents a key partner for academic exchanges between France and Mexico.

Fostering mobility between France and Mexico

Thanks to the renewal of the dual-degree agreement between these two higher education institutions, students can benefit from outstanding opportunities for mobility as part of their study program. This partnership with the Autonomous University of Chihuahua has grown year after year, thanks in particular to the MEXFITEC (Mexico France Technology Engineers) program which is supported by the French and Mexican governments. It facilitates exchanges for engineering students and strengthens academic collaboration.

Every year, IMT Mines Albi thus welcomes students from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua and offers its own students the opportunity to study at this partner university. The students from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua who come to France are of an outstanding academic level, awarded by excellence scholarships from Campus France and/or the French Embassy in Mexico. Thanks to a rigorous selection and their exceptional motivation, these students represent an invaluable addition to the campus.

International mobility, a key element of IMT Mines Albi training

IMT Mines Albi aims to provide every student with the opportunity to broaden their cultural, professional and social horizons. With more than 16% international students from 38 nationalities annually, IMT Mines Albi is a truly cosmopolitan campus. To validate their diploma, engineering students are required to carry out a semester abroad on an academic exchange, or a 14-week work placement overseas. IMT Mines Albi offers students 135 partnership agreements with prestigious universities overseas, including the Autonomous University of Chihuahua.
